My main thoughts on improvements (especially for a first time player) would be:

Make the controls a bit more consistent, and make sure you're letting the player know the controls for each part of the game.

I got stuck trying to burn the symbols onto the tablet, because I had to "Hold E", but those instructions couldn't be found anywhere.

I'd suggest:

- Hold RMB to Burn the Symbols into the Tablet (and show tip onscreen).

- Hold RMB to Pour Liquid onto Tablet (and show tip onscreen for this).

That would keep those controls the same for both actions.

:D

Looks pretty sick.  :D

Thanks mate!

Great game, with a solid core concept and really fun gameplay loop. Really love the overall art style, it reminds me of those 90's point and click adventure games that I loved growing up.

The demon designs are really cool, love the kitty in the corner (which I mistakenly burned in the furnace when I let go of her ☹) . The animations really fit the theme well, it’s always fun to see the demon being summoned when you get it right.

A few comments though, mostly about the printer, if you don’t tear off the docket each time, they really start to pile up and it gets quite difficult to keep track of them all. I lost a whole part of the docket under the desk at one point but didn’t realise until it was too late. Also, the demons don’t cross off the list in order, at least from what I could tell and that was frustrating. I personally, as a player, love to see things get checked off lists as I progress so it would be great to maybe have some way of more easily managing/viewing the demon list?

One other minor thing I noticed was the settings menu, when I change the settings for the resolution or the framerate and then either start a game, or exit and return to the settings menu, all my changes to the settings revert to default. I’m not 100% sure if anything is actually changing or if it’s a bug in the settings menu.

Other than that, this game has a lot of potential and is fun and enjoyable to play, I really got addicted to trying to beat it and can’t wait to see how it develops further.

Thank you for the feedback Josh!
I'm glad you enjoyed playing our game. Most of the team is now in our 2nd year working hard and gearing up for the big project on the horizon!

Rest assured we have put aside some time to comeback to ENGINEERED DAMNATION on the break and look at making some improvements!

Hey! Game looks cool but at the moment I'm having a bug where the settings don't appear to do anything at all. Changing them has no effect, even with a restart

hey, some settings aren't working right now, but we're working on an update to fix it.

thanks for playing the game!

Cool game and concept! I've found a few bugs tho:

After getting a game over, I can't interact with the book anymore even after going to the main menu to start over, with and without the tutorial.

A second, minor bug/oversight is that when you have a stone slab in the rune device, you can't back out of it to double check the book. You can only burn the rune onto the slab, which isn't great. I have to set the rune before putting the slab in so that I can reference the book.

The finished slabs have a bit of difficulty going through the slot, and several seconds before I got a game over one just got completely stuck. I'm not sure whether that was the result getting a game over and it refusing to accept any more slabs, or if it was a geometry issue.

Edit: Pretty sure it was a geometry issue, as I just got another game over right as I was putting a slab into the slot.

This last thing isn't really a bug, but if you grab the order sheet from the printer and it's really long, there's nowhere you can conveniently put it. I had to put it on the floor at first, but was eventually able to prop it up against the wall by the printer.

Regardless, love the game!

Hi AlisAdella,

Thank you so much for spending your time playing our game!

Thank you as well for taking the time to provide some great feedback for us. We are currently aware of the issues you have highlighted with this build. We will be updating this current build with a new version as soon as we can!

We will also work towards implementing some quality-of-life changes like the tickets becoming long and difficult to place.

Kind Regards,
Riley Trotter - Team Fourtress
